Technical personnel employment with Tezmaksan Academy. First of all, can we get to know you? Can you tell us about your career journey? I set my career goal to be a teacher; But I studied Economics at university. I can say that the interview I made with Neslihan Hakimi during my internship period at Güneş newspaper in those years was a turning point for me. I was amazed by her determination and strong personality as a woman. After completing my university education, I started my business life. I started to work at Uzay Makina, which produces Turkey's first saw bench and which is also under the management of my father's partner. I took part in many departments such as Financial Affairs, Import, Export, Human Resources, Administrative Affairs. I am very happy to see that the structure I represent today has a 4G female representation in the management team, and what an important role women play in production. What services do you offer as Tezmaksan? As a company, we provide 360-degree solutions to the machining industry in CNC sales, service, rental, technological consultancy, financing, software and training. At first, technology was not that advanced and conditions were more difficult; however, over the years, we have made many innovations by making the right investments at the right time, in line with the requirements of the age. Thus, we have reached the distinction of being Turkey's leader and Europe's fifth largest brand in its field. We have opened a different window in the sector by making important breakthroughs in the field of digitalization, especially in the last 10 years. We provide added value to both Turkish industrialists and the country's economy with our robotic automation system Cubebox, our CNC tracking and productivity software Kalitematik, which has landed on the field as domestic production, and our parkurda.com service, where we bring together manufacturers. In addition to these, Tezmaksan provides comprehensive solutions in CNC sales, service, leasing, technological consultancy, financing and software to the machining industry; At the same time, Tezmaksan Academy, which it has implemented to support its qualified workforce, prepares the young population for the future of the sector. We talked with Fatma Aydoğdu, Member of the Board of Tezmaksan, about the solutions offered by Tezmaksan, the company's work within the scope of Tezmaksan Academy, the support it offers for the employment of technical personnel, and its goals. With our leasing model, we also contribute to the competitive position of the manufacturers. As we enter our 40th year in 2021, we continue to integrate all these business models with our qualified human resources and the family bond we have established with all our employees. What are the prominent features of the software and automation systems you have developed? Our remote monitoring and productivity software, Kalitematik, does not allow any disruption in production. Capacitancematik, which closely monitors the efficiency of the machines, detects possible malfunctions in advance and makes it easier for users to take precautions accordingly. Occupational accidents are also prevented with Capacitancematik, while the user can monitor the performance of the machine only from a smartphone or tablet. Particularly during the pandemic period, when the remote working model has become widespread, Capacitancematic users gain a significant advantage in production. Cubebox, on the other hand, adds value to production with robotic automation, which has become a necessity of our time. Cubebox, which is the result of an innovative work, can easily keep up with the unmanned working system brought by the pandemic. Contributing to companies in terms of time and cost, Cubebox can be applied to all CNC's with its standard features. Parkurda.com, another innovative solution we launched in October 2020, brings together those who want to get contract work and those who want to get contract work on a common platform. The biggest advantage of Parkurda.com, Turkey's first and only B2B CNC digital platform, which we believe will increase the competitiveness of SMEs in the global arena, is its strong network. So, how are the demands for rental options? The rental model was another innovation we brought to the sector. By showing that we are always there for our customers under all circumstances, we broke new ground in this field as well. Especially during the pandemic period, companies that had cash problems preferred the model of renting machines suitable for their work. At the point we have reached, our approximately 200 rental machines support production. The responsibilities of the machines such as maintenance, service and malfunction are entirely ours. As the awareness of the advantage of leasing and the burden lifted off the companies increases, we anticipate that there will be an increase in demands at the same rate. Can you share your goals for foreign markets? Thanks to Parkurda.com, we believe that we will make significant contributions to Turkey's exports when SMEs do business with companies abroad. With the launch of the platform in Europe and America in the near future, we will have entered many different markets. How has the pandemic process affected your services and business model? In this context, what are your predictions for the upcoming period? In our 40-year adventure, our business models, which we have developed in accordance with all ages by getting rid of the classical business manners, were among the most important factors that carried us to the next level. When the issue of digitalization and automation was at the top of the agenda with the pandemic, we focused our work in these areas. Demand for our products has increased, especially in strategic sectors such as automotive, defense industry and agriculture. With the awareness of the role of digitalization and robotic automation in productivity, capacitymatik sales increased nearly four times. With the acceleration of this transformation in our country in the upcoming period, our competitive position in global production will increase even more. This will bring along a strong economy. Therefore, as a technology company, we will continue to tell our customers about the contribution of digitalization and robotic automation to production.. Preparing our young population for the future of the industry is one of our most important duties. If we are in a transformation process as an industry, we "We need to transform the next generation. Since our establishment, we have provided free education to more than 150 teachers, nearly 400 high school students, and nearly 300 university students; Along with Turkey, we also supported 1.004 CNC operators in many countries of the world. By moving our trainings to the online platform with the pandemic, we reached 4 thousand 313 people within the scope of 117 different trainings in the last year. It covers the processes of 21 women becoming industrialists and details the differences they have created in the sector. The proceeds of the book are used in the education of women through Tezmaksan Academy. Can you tell us about the associations you have been involved in and your other social responsibility projects? Through Tezmaksan H. Mustafa Aydoğdu Education Foundation, we provide scholarships to successful students in the field of industry and bring them to the sector. Under the chairmanship of our TOBB KG Leader Nurten Öztürk, we aim to increase the number of women entrepreneurs in 81 provinces with our supreme board members and 81 provincial presidents, thus facilitating women's access to finance and information. Arya Women Kocaeli Chapter and PWN Business Women's Association take part in the Benjamin Button Women's Group of the Benefitsçok Foundation, and we continue to empower our women in every field. I also take part in the Turkish Quality Association Board of Directors, which is the first NGO board of directors to ensure gender balance in our country. What is included in your training? We closely follow trends around the world and constantly update our training. In this way, we bring together our curricula that can compete with the world, with our youth. On the other hand, in cooperation with high schools and universities, we also organize vocational trainings for department teachers determined by the Ministry of National Education. We believe that with Tezmaksan Academy, we will eliminate the problem of obstacles in front of the industry. In addition, we embrace the issue of gender balance in the sector and we try to make young people like the industry profession with our seminars, Lives Shaped by Turning, which we have been holding since 2016 throughout the country. What are you doing to provide employment in your sector? We are aware of the power of women in industry as in every field. We need their creativity. 20 percent of our employees are women, we make equal evaluations for men and women in our recruitment. In addition, if we are a transformationist based on social prejudices, we need to transform the younger generation as well. The more critical the robotic automation is, the more critical is the commissioning of these robots by the young workforce. With Tezmaksan Academy, which we developed as a social responsibility project and established to support the qualified workforce, which is one of the most important problems in the sector today, we contribute to the professional development of sector professionals, students and educators by creating resources. We provided training support to hundreds of women, as well as men, within the body of Tezmaksan Academy in order to demolish it and to increase women's employment in the industry. In order for women to take an active part in the sector, "Didn't you say that a woman can't be an industrialist?" We have made the third edition of our book. Can you share your company's goals this year in the book? As the technological solution partner of the machining industry, we have a turnover target of 100 million dollars this year. We think that we will achieve our goals, especially thanks to our innovative projects that I mentioned and the added value we offer to the sector. Finally, what do you think is the secret of success in business life? In order to be successful in business life, you first need to set specific goals for yourself. In this way, your roadmap will be clearer and you can reach the goals on that road more easily. However, effective stress management is the key to success, such as maintaining the critical balance between work and social life, always acting in a planned and programmed manner, learning from mistakes throughout life and experiencing those mistakes, never being prejudiced against people or any situation, and having empathy.
